Useful Information
Get a tin of real plllank wax for your wooden cutting board or butcher block!
This 100% natural and homemade wood wax is according to our own recipe based on food-safe mineral oil and sterilized beeswax. Sterilizing the beeswax creates a colorless, tasteless and odorless wax.
Depending on the intensity of use, the protective wax layer will gradually disappear. However, every plllank cutting board has also been given a mineral oil bath so that the barrels are impregnated with oil. The longer you use the cutting board without the wax layer, the more that oil will also disappear(buy additional mineral oil here).
Instructions for using plllank wood wax:
- Apply the wax using a microfiber cloth or the applicator that came with your plllank.
- Apply a generous coat of wax to the cutting board and leave for one to a few hours.
- Afterwards, rub the wax in by making circular motions.
- Remove all excess wax with a dry cloth.
- Finally, let the cutting board rest for a few hours to allow the wax to harden.
Step discount (automatically settled):
- 10% discount from 5 jars of wax
- 25% discount from 10 jars of wax
On request, wood wax based on beeswax from our own hives (Drongen) is also available (very limited stock). This is also tasteless, but not colorless and odorless. The wax has a light yellow color and slight honey scent, the smell when you open an active hive. Same properties, same price, homemade and just that touch more durable.
